The dates that matter before you log in
DayZ Badlands was named on 27 June 2025 as Nasdara Province. Update 1.29 landed on 15 July 2026. That July update already added the SCR-17 Battle Rifle and put Nasdara convoys on Chernarus and Livonia. Experimental 1.30 followed on 16 September 2026.
Launch day is 15 October 2026. PC stable 1.30 Update 1 is version 1.30.164078. Official servers wiped characters. The wipe is a full wipe across platforms. If you are returning an old character, assume it is gone on official servers. There is no restore.
The first post-launch experimental build is for Steam modders, with a stable release after that test. If you only play official servers, the 15 October wipe is the event that changed your character. If you maintain a terrain, the September-to-October experimental window is when the new format showed up.
- 27 June 2025: expansion named.
- 15 July 2026: 1.29 stable, SCR-17, Nasdara convoys on older maps.
- 16 September 2026: 1.30 experimental.
- 15 October 2026: launch, version 1.30.164078, full wipe.
Navmesh and who the experimental was for
1.30 changes the navmesh format with no backwards compatibility. Terrains have to regenerate it. Old navmesh does not load forward. Creators stop at that requirement. No exporter tutorial has been announced.
Terrain holes, used for the underground shelters, are also a tool for other maps and for modders. Morse on the personal radio is the lead to those shelters. Check whether your server is on 1.29, on the September experimental, or on the October stable before you expect the new holes.
A modded Chernarus that never regenerated navmesh is a different problem from a survivor who lost a character to the official wipe. Say which one you are hitting before you read the bike speeds or the weapon magazines. Those systems can be present while the terrain data is still old.
Systems that shipped in the same update
The same launch adds the Jana 50 and the Bitrak 682, the rebuild counts, the disease spellings, the animal list, and the twelve weapon names. The order is the reveal, 1.29, experimental 1.30, the launch wipe, then the modder follow-up.
