Field notes

dayz badlands vehicles

Two one-rider bikes arrive with 1.30. Compare class, pace, colors, and shields before you chase the faster one.

Tell them apart

Jana 50 is the moped, about 70 km/h. Bitrak 682 is the enduro, about 130 km/h.

Shields are on the Bitrak only. Neither bike has a passenger seat or a cargo spot.

Colors and the real-world references

The Jana 50 is inspired by the Jawa 50/05 and ships in three fixed colors: blue, red, and yellow. Plates on that moped are not mixable.

The Bitrak 682 is inspired by the Jawa 500 682 Bitrak. Base colors are red, yellow, green, and blue, and those plates can be mixed.

Repair and where they spawn

Both are repaired with a blowtorch. Tires can be replaced. There is no car-style battery to fit. Those three points are shared. Neither bike has its own repair tree.

They also spawn off Nasdara, in lower numbers. Buying the province is not required to see one, but the spawn rate away from it is the smaller one.

Shield attachments are left, right, and front, and they belong to the Bitrak 682. The Jana 50 does not get them.

Which bike you are looking at

The Jana 50 is the moped, at about 70 km/h. Its colors are fixed blue, red, and yellow, and the real-world reference is the Jawa 50/05. It has no shield attachments.

The Bitrak 682 is the enduro, at about 130 km/h. Its red, yellow, green, and blue plates can be swapped, and the attachments are left, right, and front shields. Mix the plates. Do not expect the moped’s fixed paint jobs on this frame.

Both machines carry one rider. There is no passenger seat and no cargo spot. If your plan needs a second survivor or a trunk of planks, a bike is the wrong vehicle. The speed gap is the reason to tell them apart before you commit to a chase.

Repair, battery, and where they spawn

Repair is a blowtorch. Tires can be replaced. There is no car-style battery on either bike. Do not strip a car battery for a Jana or a Bitrak and expect it to be the missing part. The code lock’s V9 is a different battery on a door.

Both bikes also spawn off Nasdara, in lower numbers. Buying the expansion is not the only way to see one, and finding one on Chernarus is not proof that the province came with the base game. The province itself remains the paid terrain.

The picture shows three armed survivors, one with a gold-colored rifle. That rifle is not identified. The Golden KA-M is a separate 1.30 rifle with a 30-round magazine and a drum. The photograph does not prove it is the one in the frame.

How to use the comparison

The Jana 50 is selected first. Choose the other name to read the enduro. On a phone, the sticky label is the confirmation of which bike you are reading when the pair stacks.

Class, pace, and colors are the bike itself. Shields are on the Bitrak and absent on the moped. Repair is shared, so it is repeated on both cards instead of pretending each bike has a private tool.

Fuel use, seat height, and crash damage have not been announced with those speeds. If a number is not in the pace line, it is not part of the comparison. Treat about 70 km/h and about 130 km/h as the pace, not as a promise about uphill speed.
